The Future of ACTABS Conferences

Picture
Why should we consider change?

Recently, ACTABS officers discussed some possible re-design in the way conferences are being conducted. Each year, the cost of hosting the conference, reserving hotels, travel expenses and the like continue to cut into school budgets.

The last few years, the number of schools and teachers brought to the conference has been in decline. Although the host schools have done an outstanding job with the resources available, the larger schools participating have been fewer, reducing the overall selections of workshops, vendors, and name recognition of keynote speakers.

To try to resolve all of these issues, the officers have suggested we think out-of-the-box and see if we can change the way we conduct the conventions. Please vote in the adjacent survey. The results will be included in the next officers meeting.

If none of these options are adequate, feel free to select "Other" and insert your suggestion for improvements.
