Why should my school be accredited?
Does your school have to be Baptist to join ACTABS? No, there are memberships available to any school that meets the qualifications of being a Christian school.
Why should I make sure that the accrediting organization for my school be recognized by TEPSAC?
Not every organization that claims to offer accreditation is legitimate. Those organizations that have acquired regional accreditation status, or are recognized by TEPSAC, will clearly demonstrate their status on their respective websites. If the accreditation is not from a recognized organization, it has no more value to colleges and universities than if the school was not accredited at all.

What time considerations are tied to accreditation? ACTABS does not have a time-limit to go through the accreditation process.
How much does accreditation cost? $100 Application Fee, Then About $500 per year.
- You will be provided a support-system that will assist the Christian school and meet high standards of performance.
- You will conduct a self-study and evaluation process to strengthen and improve your school assisted by professional Christian educators from peer schools.
- You will achieve a credible external witness to your community and the parents of your students as to the level of quality and professionalism of your school.
- Your students will more easily articulate their credits into area colleges and universities
- You will more readily gain acceptance by some businesses and foundations of your status, to acquire grants and funds.
