Chair of the Standards Committee
Bob Bryant has served in school administration in five private schools over a span of twenty-seven years. During this time, he secured school accreditation from Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Association of Christian Schools International, International Christian Accreditation Association, and Accrediting Commission for the Texas Association of Baptist Schools. He also served with the Texas Education Agency to intervene at Dallas ISD. His experience has enabled him to become a recognized authority on accreditation and school improvement. Most recently, he has served as a facilitator for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (AdvancED).
He served a term as president of the Accrediting Commission for the Texas Association of Baptist Schools. He has trained and supervised assessors for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), the most rigorous teacher certification process in the United States, recognized by forty-three states. For the NBPTS, he was selected to establish the benchmark cases for Early Adolescent Generalist certification. In turn, he provided training sessions for NBPTS certification candidates for San Antonio ISD.
Mr. Bryant has been married to his wife, Ruby, for over forty years and has four children and six grandchildren. He holds a B.A. in History, M.A. in Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and is currently an Ed.D. candidate at Regent University. He now serves as the chair of the Standards Committee, and facilitates the accrediation process.
